Before the Cosmos face Boca Raton FC this Saturday, they will first play Miami United FC tonight. The home side announced it via tweet today.
Not to be confused with Miami FC of the NASL, Miami United FC are an NPSL side and took second place in the Sunshine Conference last season. The conference is also the future home of Rowdies 2, Striker U-23s, and the Armada U-23s.
Miami United made a splash in the soccer world recently with the signing of former Brazilian national team striker Adriano, a player whose career included stints with Roma, Parma, Flamengo, and Corinthians.
The side is currently coached by former Venezuelan national team player Ricardo Páez, so we can probably speculate on a connection between him and Giovanni Savarese to set this up.
No word on a stream yet.
