With Jose Escalante repeatedly indicating that he’s on his way to the Cosmos, Radiohouse.hn had an interview with the young player.
“My agent who lives in New York made contact [with the Cosmos]. He has a good relationship with the people at the New York Cosmos and told them my situation. He sent my videos and they were able to watch me after after a few days. In the end, they accepted and said they wanted me on their team.”
He also confirmed how long his stay would be.
“The loan will be for one year, with an option to buy,” said the midfielder. He went on to confirm, “I have a two-year contract with Olimpia [in Honduras].”
In discussing on whether he has adapted to the weather in New York, he also revealed some plans for the Cosmos preseason.
“I’m happy because the preseason will be in Miami and Puerto Rico since the snowfalls in New York won’t allow it to be there.”
No signing announcement yet from the club, but this is looking more and more likely.
