The NASL announced the second consecutive year of a partnership with ONE World Sports today. Beginning Saturday, April 2nd, ONE World Sports will once again be home to the NASL Game of the Week and will continue NASL This Week, a highlight show for action around the league.
“We’re proud to continue our great partnership with ONE World Sports,” said NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson. “They were the first national broadcaster to partner with us and they have done a fine job of producing some very exciting television. We’re looking forward to the new streaming component that will allow anyone in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico to watch our ONE World Sports matches.”
The NASL Spring Season will have 11 Saturday games on ONE World Sports with 12 more in the NASL Fall Season. However, the NASL Fall Season will see the Game of the Week shift from Saturday games to Wednesday games.
Subscribers of One World Sports will be able to watch the games on the channel or through the Watch ONE World Sports mobile app, while the livestreams will be open to all on OneWorldSports.com.
“The NASL has become a formidable presence on the international soccer scene with domestic and imported talent cultivating new fans on a regular basis,” said Sandy Brown, President & CEO, ONE World Sports. “ONE World Sports is investing a significant amount of resources to help grow the NASL audience including access for every fan to view the NASL Game of the Week via the network’s website and the continuation of our league highlight show, NASL This Week.”
Cosmos fans subscribing to the channel will see familiar faces with JP Dellacamera, Ed Cohen, Shep Messing, and Janusz Michallik as the on-air talent this year. Cohen and Tina Cervasio will co-host NASL This Week on Tuesday nights.
Still waiting on word whether a deal has or will be struck with beIN.
