Forward Yasmani Duk was called up by La Verde for two World Cup qualifiers as Bolivia prepare to play in Brazil on Thursday, October 6th. Five days later, they’ll host Ecuador.

Bolivia currently sit in 8th place in CONMEBOL qualifying with seven points, four points behind Chile.

Center back David Ochieng also received a call-up as the Kenyan team brought him back for an international friendly against the Democratic Republic of Congoon Tuesday. The Harambee Stars held on to a 1-0 win as Ochieng made an appearance in the 58th minute.

Ochieng was noticeably absent from the roster this past weekend against the Strikers.

Full back Alexis Velela will report to a US U-19 training camp in Chula Vista, CA that runs through October 10th. The team will play the Xolos reserves in a double-header on Friday, October 7th and will play another match two days later against an opponent to be determined later.

Velela will join Matias Reynares of the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, also invited to the camp.

Velela and Duk will be unavailable as the Cosmos travel to Ottawa for a match on Sunday.
