One of the more talked about and intriguing Cosmos signings of the offseason has to be Eugene Starikov. Following a standout campaign at Bradenton Academics, the Ukrainian-American spent the following ten years abroad, making stops at Zenit St. Petersburg and other clubs in the Ukraine and Russia. Cosmos defeat Dominican Republic 5-1, continue undefeated preseason

On Sunday, the New York Cosmos defeated the Dominican Republic 5-1 to leave the island with a perfect record across their three-game tour. The goals for the Cosmos came off of a Javi Márquez penalty, Emmanuel Ledesma scissor kick, an Irvin Herrera brace, and a beautiful finale from Andrea Mancini. This was also a historic affair, with the Cosmos becoming the first American professional club to face the Dominican Republic’s National Team. Continue reading

Cosmos defeat Atlantico 1-0 with trialists galore

After a long and arduous offseason, Cosmos Country finally saw their team take the field in 2017. In their long awaited preseason debut, the New York Cosmos defeated FC Atlantico 1-0 in Puerto Plata.
