NASL responds to USL departures; CSA responds to Ottawa moves

The New York Cosmos found an equalizer to salvage a road point in Ottawa after a mostly lackluster performance against the Fury. The valuable road point moves them slightly closer to the Fall and Combined titles, but the result did not come without a price.

Match Preview: Another opener at Shuart between Cosmos and Fury

The Cosmos will look to duplicate the success of their spring opener when they beat the Ottawa side 3-0 behind a brace from Juan Arango and a strike from Adam Moffat. After night to forget in ’15, one to remember in Open Cup and Canadian Championship action

12970302_10154247167656091_1053037460_oAside from the Cosmos shutout of PDL side Jersey Express on Wednesday night, the league should be pleased by strong Third Round performances in the US Open Cup and Amway Canadian Championship.

After a night to forget in last year’s Open Cup with only the Cosmos and Silverbacks advancing and the rest of the league going 0-7 against USL opposition, the league saw all but the two expansion sides move on to the fourth round going 6-2 against the USL this year.

Match Recap: Cosmos shut out Fury 3-0 in rematch of 2015 Final
