Yasmani Duk goes to Saudi Arabia; may launch FIFA suit for unpaid Cosmos wages

Another former Cosmos has found a new team as Yasmani Duk will travel to Saudi Arabia to play for Al-Ettifaq FC after spending the 2016 season on loan with New York. TICC spoke with with player’s agent, Rodrigo Osorio, discovering the deal had been approved and legal action might be taken against the Cosmos for unpaid wages.  Continue reading

Tests for Cosmos depth as four players receive call-ups

Andres Flores, Yasmani Duk, David Ochieng, and Eric Calvillo have all received call-ups to the El Salvador, Bolivia, Kenya, and US U-19 sides, respectively. Continue reading

A quiet first half and some questionable refereeing gave way to a wild second half full of goals, cards, ejections, and projectiles from the stands as the Cosmos drew 2-2 with the Rowdies. With the parade of injuries hitting the Cosmos towards the end of the spring season coupled with the loss of players such as Michael Lahoud, Gabriel Farfán and Niko  Kranjčar, many have questioned the depth of the roster and its ability to win hardware this year, especially after the exit of the club from the US Open Cup. Many have asked what the Cosmos will do to add to a roster that has lost quality players.

Yasmani Duk: Seizing opportunity

Joining on loan from Peruvian club Sport Boys, Yasmani Duk has been one of the least utilized parts of the Cosmos roster this spring. After ten matches played in the NASL spring season, Duk made the bench twice, subbed on once, and received one start.
