Battle in the Bronx

According to bigapplesoccer.com, the New York Yankees are looking to host a soccer match later this summer. The rumored game would feature the two giant European clubs, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The New York Cosmos of the 1970s were the last team to play a professional soccer match in any Yankee Stadium.

As seen at Citi Field last year, the  Worlds Game offers a decent payout for venues, and even the Yankees with no financial issues seem to want a piece of that pie.

While nothing is set in stone, there is no doubt that a game featuring these two clubs would be a tremendous draw.
