NEW YORK - The New York Cosmos announced today that the club has agreed to its first pub partnership in New York City. The team’s initial partner is Legends NYC and the Football Factory, located at 6 West 33rd Street in midtown Manhattan. Located across the street from the Empire State Building, the Football Factory has become a hub for soccer in the city and is the official New York home to over 20 supporters clubs from around the world.
“Legends Bar NYC and The Football Factory are thrilled to be partnering with the illustrious and renowned NY Cosmos as they continue with their epic re-emergence into professional soccer and the professional sports arena in New York City,” Keith Santangelo, Legends general manager, said. “The history and record of excellence for the Cosmos football club and the Cosmos brand in general speaks for itself and we are honored to be a part of their continued success and pursuit of greatness.”
As an official pub partner of the New York Cosmos, Legends NYC and the Football Factory will be an official pre-game destination for all Cosmos home games. Along with hosting a series of official Cosmos away game viewing parties, the Football Factory will be home to a kickoff party for the 2013 NASL Fall Season. The Football Factory will also become a sponsor of Cosmos Copa, receiving branding exposure, digital marketing and on-site activation at the grassroots soccer tournament hosted by the New York Cosmos.
To kick off the new partnership, the Cosmos will be hosting the first of a series of Supporters Open Houses at the Football Factory onThursday, June 13 at 7 p.m. At the event, supporters will be able to socialize with Cosmos staff and catch up on the latest news from the club. There will also be drink specials and giveaways for Cosmos fans.
