Garber "variety of potential stadium plans"

Today, Commissioner Don Garber met with a group of supporters in Miami, Florida who are vying for a Major League Soccer team in their city.

In what has to be viewed as a good sign, Garber took the opportunity to speak of developments in New York.

“In New York, we have a dire need to go out and capture a broader part of the market,” Garber said. “We have many interested ownership groups, with a wide variety of potential stadium plans

For those who have followed New York City expansion, the major sticking point has always been the stadium plan. In the past, Garber has said that New York City lacks a stadium plan.

So what does this mean? If in 2008 we needed a stadium plan and today that there is a "wide variety of potential stadium plans", one can only conclude that things are moving in the right direction.
